Chef Andre Rush cooked up nutritious meals at the San Antonio Food Bank for junior enlisted military members and their families in the San Antonio area.

The meals, along with groceries, toiletries and baby supplies were given to the families of service members. Many of those military members are attending advanced at nearby Lackland Air Force Base. Members of the Texas National Guard helped prepare Rush prepare the meals.

SAN ANTONIO – GCO sponsored the 2021 installment of BourBiz San Antonio, helping the Military Families Program and Black Rifle Coffee Company give away $15,000 to support a veteran-owned start up business, Bravo Actual, and charity dedicated to researching health conditions caused by exposure to burn pits in Iraq and Afghanistan, HunterSeven Foundation.

The event drew hundreds of veterans and dozens of business and charities for an evening of networking and camaraderie.

DUMFRIES, VIRGINIA – The Military Families Program partnered with Grunt Style to kickoff the Military Market program by providing free groceries and toiletries to junior enlisted military members and their families.

The giveaway was held at First Mount Zion Baptist Church, which serves many of the military members stationed at nearby Marine Corps Base Quantico.

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA – GCO proudly sponsored Army Captain Kaitlyn Hernandez’s world record mile run in a bomb disposal suit.

Hernandez finished four laps at George Mason University’s track in 10 minutes and 23 seconds to shave 43 seconds off the Guinness World Record set in 2013 by her mentor and friend, former soldier Ashley Sorenson.

The event benefited the Military Families Program and Headstrong Project. The charities are among those that support our nation’s military community with GCO’s support

GCO joined the Military Families Program (MFP) to celebrate Medal of Honor Day by hosting a talk with a recipient of the nation’s highest military honor, NY Times bestselling author Clint Romesha.

In a wide ranging conversation with GCO Ambassador Jack Mandaville, Romesha spoke candidly about his military service, war experience and being a dad. He also answered questions from service members, veterans and spouses. The talk opened MFP Tampa’s networking event.

Romesha received the Medal of Honor for leading the counter attack that kept Combat Outpost Keating from being overrun by enemy fighters in the Battle of Kamdesh. He detailed the battle in his best selling book, “Red Platoon: A True Story of American Valor.”

GCO Sponsors V-Day Delivery for Troops

GCO Consulting Group sponsored a delivery of sweet and savory treats to National Guard and Reserve members, who were called up from around the country to help provide security in our nation’s capital.

The Valentine’s Day event was held by the Military Families Program (MFP): a charity dedicated to serving current and former service members, as well as their families. GCO proudly supports MFP and other charities that serve our nation’s military members, veterans and their families.

GCO helped bring cheer to Gold Star children this holiday, as the sponsor of a socially distanced Tiny Heroes Winter Wonderland.

While this year’s installment of the annual event replaced a ballroom for a drive thru, it still featured toys, Santa, the Grinch and other goodies for the surviving children of military members.

GCO sponsored the veteran nonprofit, BourBiz, for an evening of power networking, entertainment and giveaways at the House of Blues in Las Vegas.

Three veteran enterprises won $23,000 in funding, including Bastards’ Road Project and Military Fresh Network.

The evening also featured a performance by Billboard chart topping artist, The Marine Rapper. Other veteran guests included celebrity chef Andre Rush, bestselling author Geraint Jones and UFC fighter Tim Johnson.

GCO’s Build-A-Bear experience was a popular feature at the 2019 Tiny Hero’s Winter Wonderland. The annual charity event featured toys, Disney characters and, of course, Santa. The surviving parent of Gold Star Children were also treated to a banquet.

Washington Football Team quarterback Colt McCoy and Washington Nationals star Brian Zimmerman signed autographs for the children.

GCO is excited to announce that runner registration is open for this event that will be held on March 28th 2019 at Wood grove High School in Purcellville VA with all proceeds raised to benefit the EOD Warrior Foundation. The event will start again with a family friendly 5K run to honor fallen EOD warriors followed by the World Record Attempt for the fastest 1 mile in a EOD bomb suit. Team FASTRAX will be executing the parachute jump and Flag Flying in to start the competition along with multiple military demonstrations again so people can spectate and cheer on the wide range of military, and law enforcement warriors who are taking the Bomb Suit challenge.
